About Us
The Murphy Laboratory conducts
research in three related areas: a) basic behavioral processes,
including classical and operant conditioning, b) the behavioral
pharmacology of drug abuse, and c) the physiological psychology
of animal learning and behavior. Most recently, Dr. Murphy and
his students have been investiging the variables that regulate
alcohol consumption in a selectively-bred strain of alcohol-preferring
rats.
If you are a student interested
in gaining important research experience in the area of animal
learning and behavior, please contact Dr. Eric Murphy at 786-1626
(office telephone) or afesm@uaa.alaska.edu (email).
